A modern version of a pinot noir from Markus Schneider, one of the innovative winemakers in the Pfalz Region. Very nice and fresh nose with beautiful cherry flavors, mixed up with some dark chocolate dust, cloves and hints of raspberries. The wine delivers generous vanillin and rich florality from the use of med-toast new oak, from which the palate discerns what little, fine-grained tannin there is. The rest is just pure, delicious cherry and raspberry and clove.
