‘Morei’ means dark in the dialect of Trentino and the grapes from this vineyard mirror this meaning. Their roots plunge deep in the stones and the sand of the soil carried downstream by the river Noce giving rise to wines with a dense and mineral texture. Thus, Teroldego Morei takes shape and is reborn, amplified and transformed. This is one of Foradori’s celebrated single-vineyard red wines that is aged in amphorae before release.

The 2015 Teroldego Morei is a dark and powerful red wine made with one of Italy’s most singular and territory-specific indigenous grapes. This is a penetrating and forceful expression that offers dark fruit, moist chewing tobacco, dark spice and tar. You’ll also recognize faint hints of black olive and caper. Smoke and ash appear as background layers. This is a very successful rendition, although be prepared for the bracing acidity that characterizes this grape
