Chenin Blanc, 2017

11.5%

750 ml.

Grape Varieties: Chenin Blanc

Tasting Note:

The 2017 Chenin Blanc is a combination of grapes, from our two adjacent blocks. The blocks are farmed identically, both organically and according to the biodynamic principles. The wine is made with the same minimal interventionist way, as with all other certified wines. The grapes were whole bunch pressed and lightly settling before natural fermentation occurred in a combination of 300l second-fill French oak barrels and two 2500l foudre. The wine was aged on its lees for 10 months with a further two month ageing in stainless steel tank before bottling.

This wine has a pale straw hue with a lovely bouquet of white fruit. Upfront aromatics of white peach and pear. The palate has a beautiful freshness with hints of quince, spice and flinty notes. An elegant and balanced wine, with good acidity and long finish.
This wine will drink best until 2027.
