The NV Bouvet Island Antarctic Demi-Sec is a remarkable, finessed and delicate sparkling wine made from Chenin Blanc and Chardonnay. Provided with lovely stone and citrus fruit aromas on the well-defined and a bit chalky nose, the Bouvet Island is a rich and round, but also delicate and elegant sparkling wine with a lovely, fruity, slightly mineral and refreshing finish with grip and character. I just can't believe the suggested retail price. If you like Champagne but don't want to spend that much money, you should try this Demi-Sec whose 30 grams of residual sugar are perfectly integrated.
