Barbara Öhlzeitexclusively produces white wines. She is focused on Grϋner Veltliner and Riesling.
She originally came from the media-business and changed in 2005 to the wine-business. She has run her vinery in Zöbing since 2006.
Now she is known for fresh and fruity light wines on the hand (They are called KITZ) but also for wines with power, character and terroir (Heilgenstein, Seeberg, and Kogelberg).
Riesling Kogelberg is a 65 year old vineyard in which every kind of work is done by hand. NO tractor or mashines are able to get in it because it is planed very narrow.
In 2007 she started the production of Kamptal Verjus together with her husband and highly decorated chef Karl Schwillinsky. Her principle is”Bon Courage”.
